Plumbing question
I just moved into a house, the old owners were in the process of moving the laundry. They have the following connections. Could anyone tell me what these are and what they connect to?

They look like water lines, hot and cold which would be connected to the washing machine. Plastic things could be mini check valves, or simple extenders.

Things are done a little differently here in the States. If no one stopping by recognizes those fittings.... you may have to remove one and take it to a plumbing supply or similar place to see what they're a part of.
Possibly some type of laundry shutoff valve connects to them.

They are your hot and cold feeds. Those plastic things are stoppers (to block the flow of water). The reason the end is threaded is because these are multi use stoppers. If you take one off (which you'll have to turn the water main off to do so) you can screw the other end into a turn tap fitting (such as the taps in your shower). a plumber will have a bag full of these when plumbing a new house.
