Which tailpiece?
This forum has already been a great help for my project, so thank you all.
I want to make sure I get this tub drain right the first time. Can someone tell me the proper way to connect a 1.5" tee to my trap in slab?

Ouch, your 2" trap has been reduced considerably and will probably all need changing out to the lateral at the lower right of your picture. Unless it can be detached at the entrance to the trap.

I wasn't aware it was a tub, so using the assembly Mike mentioned makes better sense than building one. You already have the adapter in place. It just looked like a pipe stub in the first picture.

Thanks a lot! The assembly we needed to match the other trim was only available in this pvc set or that one which was too expensive.
But if thats what you want to do glue a trap adapter to bottom of tee. Stick tubular pipe/tailpiece cut to size between the two to trap with nuts and washers and be done with it..

Sorry that first picture was misleading. I returned the unit and gonna make the one with a built in tailpiece fit. Thanks for all your help, now have to cram this tub in there and finish it.
