Where to cut pipe(s)??

Hi, I'm trying to move the drain for a new plastic shower tray. It only needs to move a couple inches but there is no obvious way (to me) to cut the pipe to make a clean connection. Do I need to cut both legs of the 3" pipe and use fernco couplings?
Or is there some method I'm missing?

Yuck, looks like you have 2 45's and 2 90's all glued together, hate to say but depending on where you need to move you are going to have to remove the big tee and start new!

I agree with Marq1, cut out the tee. It will make your job easier.
Post back if you need any tips on installing the no-hub couplers, #1 is tighten the screws to 60 inch pounds.

Thanks for the replies. I was worried this might be the case.
I haven't installed a fernco coupling before.
Do I need to buy a torque wrench or can I just go by feel?

60 inch pounds is screwdriver tight with a reasonable sized handle. Never used torque wrench for something like that but use tools every day.

I have a tee-handled preset torque wrench, but rarely use it.
I tighten with a ratcheting nut driver until tight and then tighten more with a 6" ratchet, using fingers only.

I would dig up the main and get that tee out of there. Tee's can only be used vertically on the sanitary system.
