Capping off existing water, sewage, and propane gas piping
Hello, we are doing some remodeling, and need to cap off piping that was used for a washer/dryer. This includes hot/cold water pipe, a sewer line, and a propane gas pipe. Is it necessary to provide access to the capped off pipes, or can these be covered up with drywall?

I never heard of any code that requires access. However, if there is a code, it would probably be a local code not national. Finally, it can't hurt to have access. It's actually a good idea.

You can cap off the water lines and drain pipe and bury them in the wall.
The propane line I am unsure of, I would trace it back to the nearest accessible joint and use a pipe cap or a pipe plug.
