connecting two grill flexible ng hoses
Have just replaced a natural gas barbecue grill with a new Weber NG grill and needed an extension flexible hose to add to the 7' half inch flexible hose that came with the grill.
I bought a 10' matching 1/2 " identical hose with a quick connect to extend the hose run but find I cannot piggyback them as I now have two hoses with two free female 3/8" connectors and the only logical way to connect them is by a small 3/8" gas pipe union nipple.
Can I use a gas pipe union to connect the two hoses?

Wait for the pros on this one. It looks like those are two different fittings. The one on the left looks like it's expecting a flanged fitting, while the one on the right looks like it has some kind of center pin in it.
I'm not a flexible gas piping expert, so I'll defer to others.
