Need help with sink plumbing

Any ideas on how I can fix this? It's the kitchen sink drain stub out. Happened to be going down stairs n found huge puddle. Got to looking and ended up finding this leaking. Took apart and found the thread was broke.

Is that pic of the where the pipe exists the first floor to the cellar? That pipe looks bigger than the tail pipe of a kitchen sink.

Welcome to the forums.

I believe I reoriented the picture correctly.... judging from the water stains on the sheetrock wall.

That looks like a Fernco rubber fitting.
If it is rubber.... peel it off to see what's left.

He said its threaded... so I assume someone has broken the nipple coming out of the wall.

If so, it looks like there may be enough to repair it with a fernco... i'm just guessing at the size but maybe a shielded 2" to 1 1/2" fernco would work. (like this: ) 1-1/2 in. x 2 in. EPDM Rubber Shielded Coupling-P3001-215 - The Home Depot

Show us more of the plumbing... trap, etc.

I went back and added an enlarged pic to the original post. It is a cracked 1-1/2" nipple.

It looks to me like this is a cast iron sanitary tee, although it's a dark color.
If that's correct, the cracked fitting has male threads on both ends and one end screws into the tee, the other end accepts the white pipe which looks like standard 1.5" slip tube.

Here's a link to the trap adapter I believe you need:
https://www.ferguson.com/product/pro...dFamily-115526

If your adapter screws in like above, I highly recommend the brass one I linked to. I would also buy or rent an 1-1/2 internal Tap to clean the threads.

If your sink was draining slowly, it's better to cut the wall open and change the tee to ABS. You can get help here with that and usually the problems end.
