Gas Dryer sticks out to far from wall

My dryer sticks out from the wall a good 5 because of the vent and gas line. I know how to fix then vent issue but he gas line is a different story. Is there some kind of recessed gas line box I could use or any ideas? Thanks for any help.

What I would do is cut drywall enough so that you can put a straight upright shut off in wall. Box out drywall and leave it open so you can get to valve. Do the same with vent hose.

They make gas valve boxes.

696-1031GF - Sioux Chief 696-1031GF - Gas Ox Box (Bagged) - 3/4" NPT Valve and Adapter for Iron Pipe

It's harder for the vent, but same concept applies.

Putting on a 4" vent 90 yields you with 4" from the back of the dryer to the wall.
How much closer do you need it than that ?

Agree with Pete. You really don't want it any closer to the wall.
