Roxul around shower valve

Hi all, I've put roxul safe n sound all around my interior bath for sound control.

I'm about to put durock on the wet wall and wonder if I should put the roxul around the shower valve and drop ear?

My concern is that if it leaks, I won't know for a longtime because it'll get caught up in all that insulation.
There is an access panel right below.

The wall is adjacent to a bedroom, so I'd prefer to insulate it. Any thoughts?

I would go ahead and insulate it. I don't see any reason that it will really help or hurt a leak.

Of course, be sure to pressure test everything before sealing it up!
