eliminating old toilet

Question

i am removing an old toilet and not replacing it. what do i need to do to seal the waste pipe or whatever i need to do?

If your removing it for a short period of time and plan on resetting the toilet, just stuff a large towel in it, if you never plan on resetting the toilet, stuff lots of paper in it, then pour concrete in the opening.

If you want a quick fix you could also use an expanding rubber plug called a quick test plug to stop the hole. Be sure you get an airtight seal, funky nasty poision gas can come out of a sewer pipe.
