Drainage system setup

What do I need to get to complete my sink drainage system. In the wall there is a pipe that would accept a threaded pipe. I have no idea if that exists and what to put on it from there to attach to the faucet tailpiece Any ideas? Thanks.

the pipe is black PVC which was spray by the wall texture. Is it ok to use the white pvc you suggested?

All the parts X linked to are also available in ABS, especially in California. ABS is easier to glue IMO.

Apply about 2 wraps of Teflon tape on the adapter that screws into the wall and coat the tape with Teflon paste. Just snug the fitting up, it doesn't need to be really tight.
I also apply Teflon paste to the lower mating surface of the trap, the 'ground' surface.

Last question. If the faucet tail piece is 1 1/4 pipe how do I convert the 1 1/12 to 1 1/4?

A standard 1-1/2" slip tube trap comes with two washers. One washer is 1.5", the other washer is 1.5 OD and 1.25" ID.
If not just purchase a separate slip nut and the package contains 2 washers. (PVC in link but black is available)

Oops, wrong link, just purchase a 1-1/2" slip nut packaged.
