i recently replaced the ball tower thing for a weak flush. it seemed to work fine for several days, and now it's bacj to a weak flush. the other toilets in the house work great, so i don't think it's the vent or anything beyond that specific toilet. i did notice that the previous owner must have used the little toilet chlorine tablet things. it seems like it's somehow stuck in the small hole in the bottom of the toilet. not the main drain, but the smaller hole opposite it. could that be causing a problem? i've snaked the toilet and found nothing. i'm at a loss.

Is a weak flush the same as a slow flush (water draining out of the tank slowly)? If so, try cleaning out the rim openings on the underside lip of the toilet bowl, using a piece of a coat hanger. A mirror will help you find the holes. The may be partially plugged with hard water (mineral) deposits. You also need to try to remove the chlorine tablet stuck in the jet. The coat hanger should break it up.

Replacing the fill valve (ball tower thing) will only help with getting water into the toilet tank.

Also, be sure you have the float control set to the proper height, there is ususally a fill line on the inside of the toilet tank.
