Help! Toilet Drain issue
Hi everyone, I hope you might be able to give me a bit of advice.
We are having a few issues with our toilet draining:
1. When flushing upstairs toilet the downstairs toilet is bubbling
2. Both toilets are slow draining
3. When we flush the downstairs toilet we can hear water draining underneath the floor
4. When we flush the downstairs toilet it is leaking in to the basement
We are thinking we have a damaged pipe somewhere but could it be anything else!?
The downstairs toilet did over flow a few weeks back and we thought we had solved the issue but over the last couple of days we have noticed the leak in the basement as it tripped our downstairs lights!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you mean the leak when you flush the downstairs toilet is actually your toilet bowl overflowing on the floor, then from what else you said I think you most likely have a blockage in your main sewer line from your house. The basement toilet is a low point so when you flush the upstairs toilet the backup would be noticed in your basement toilet first.
(I've had a few blockages in my main sewer line to the septic that sound just like yours). If that's the case a "snake" can be used to try to remove the blockage from the main sewer line.

Thanks! We will give that a go.
Because we can hear a leak under the floors (I.e we can hear the water flowing) would that suggest a break in the pipe somewhere?

It’s leaking from the ceiling in the basement, we can hear a possible leak when we flush the downstairs toilet under our floorboards

I agree that you have a clog. As for your leak I would first suspect the wax seal under the downstairs toilet.
