Water softener install help
I have a new construction home with a water softener loop plumbed with 1/2 in (I think) pex. I purchased a water softener that has 1 in male threaded connectors. I was going to use shark bite fittings and pex to make the connections but can't find 1/2 in push to 1 in female so I'm not sure the best way to proceed . Any advice is appreciated

Something's very wrong if it really is a 1/2 line.
With that small a line the whole house will have low water pressure.
It should have been at least 3/4".
A 3/4" line will have almost twice the flow of a 1/2" line, low flow = low pressure.
Simple enough to step it down with a 1 X 1/2 reducing bushing, but your going to hate the slow flow rate.
