Did plumber install gas valve on water line?
Main shut off valve coming into house before the meter was corroded over and couldn't be turned, so I had it replaced when a plumber was here doing other work. I noticed he used a valve with a red knob. I hadn't seen that for water pipes before, I thought blue was for water and red/yellow for gas?
Took a picture with/without flash. Is it possible to tell if that valve is intended for gas pipes? If so, does it matter? Or are some valves interchangeable? Google is giving me mixed answers.
Plumber that came did shoddy work and had to come back to redo some of it, so I am skeptical now of all the work.

They come in all colors. That is a combination use valve. Look on the side of it.
It's stamped WOG which stands for water or oil or gas use

Yeah, I would never use that kind of valve for water shutoff... but it's apparently rated a such, so no real issue.
