Hello, thanks for all your previous help! :-) Changing out Moen cartridge but it will not bulge. The plastic removal in package was no match and it ate up the separate metal removal tool, took the edges right off the tool. I tried drilling it but don't want to put to much pressure on it as might meet up with the backside metal. Chipped away at the plastic with awl and chisel about an inch into pipe. It will not bulge. Got a call into the plumber and I will keep working it.

My question, is there anyway to cap this off so I can turn the main water back on? I don't see how. The new Moen cartridge came in my 1pm mail after the 9am main ball valve change out with the plumber. Otherwise, I would have had plumber do it while here just to get it done.
