Replace expansion connection with crimp ring?

I have some PEX puppies to, which were connected with expansion connections.
I want to retrace a section but I only have copper crimp rings.
The pipe seems a bit thinner than the normal PEX pipe. Can I use PEX rings with this? I assumed the connections were interchangeable but have been seeing things about PEX a and PEX b.

It might depend on the pipe manufacture. Each manufacture has it's connection "system" and you have to use their system to get a proper connection. The pipe should be marked with the manufactures information.

The exception would be a "shark bite" fitting which will connect to almost everything. (copper, CPVC, PEX, etc)

From what I can find:
Crimping is compatible with all types of PEX tubing except for PEX-AL-PEX

The ring seems to be holding well...
