Installing an outdoor tap.
I've been searching for hours and can't find the information on this. On the outside of my house, they previous owners had a tap running out the back wall. It was just an exposed copper (1/2") pipe running up the wall about 12" (from under ground inside a 1" black plastic pipe), with a tap on it.
I didn't like the tap or how it was installed, so I am wanting to install another tap going through the brick.
I've created a drawing showing what I want to do.
Basically, the tap is a freeze-proof tap so it is 12"+ long and can receive a PEX water source. I want to drill a hole through the brick veneer, into the house, into the kichen cabinet sink and then tap into the water source in the cabinet.
Is this legal?
I live in Brantford, Ontario, Canada.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
