Diagram symbol definition and software

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me what the meaning of the symbol circle in red is? Im trying under stand the diagram but never seen that symbol before. I want to assume is a flow check but want to be sure. I would also like to know with what software this image was created?

Thanks

And sorry to the author of this image for posting it here in order to ask question. I believe the credit goes to nj trooper.

Only guessing...but I'd think a bleeder valve? If that would make sense? Since I don't see anything else that would represent a bleeder...well.

Only thing I am sure of is death and taxes . Looks like a boiler drain to me which could act like a bleeder valve.

If you want another vote, I'd vote for boiler drain.

Otherwise, how could you drain the system?

Installed as shown in the diagram it is a purge valve. It is used to "purge" the air from the heating system loop.
