Connecting PVC wye to ABS clean out.

The saniflo system requires a 1 in drain line, since they do not make ABS that small (at least not that I know of, the smallest I can find is 1.5 inch) I will be using PVC.
I plan on removing the clean out on the end of one of my drain runs which is currently made of ABS, screwing in a PVC adapter to this then solvent welding the new PVC wye to this with a new clan out on the back.
is there any issues screwing the PVC to the ABS ( thread size etc). Also what do you recommend putting on the threads? I was thinking the thicker plumbers tape.

Thanks for the input.

There is no issue with screwing PVC into ABS. They both use NPT threads so the PVC will screw in and get tighter and tighter. Teflon plumbing tape isn't required but I've never seen it hurt.

Teflon tape is used as a lubricant in metal to metal fittings. It is not used to seal the joint.
