1 faucet reading high

Hello,

In Georgia, Is it permissible for an exterior faucet to not be regulated below 80 psi?

I suspect one of my exterior spigots to be plumbed to the main at 108 psi while my other faucet on the other side is reading 58 psi. The water pressure regulator is 10 months old.

Thank you for your assistance.

It Is possible that they ran a line outdoors for a sprinkler system between the main and the pressure regulator. A plumber will probably be along shortly to tell you how realistic that is.

Welcome. Not sure that I fully understand your question, but how old is your house and what kind of plumbing do you have (i.e. copper, PVC, galvanized, etc.)? Could be that undersized or corroded pipes are contributing to the difference.

2003. Copper. The main comes into a garage wall. There is a spigot on that wall reading 108 psi. Moving closer to the house, there is a water pressure regulator and a hot water heater. The spigot on the other side of the house reads 58 psi. It seems the inspector only measured that one high line and is saying the water pressure regulator needs adjusted when it does not

I don't see why not. Could be a little tough on a garden hose laying out in the sun though.
