I have a broken sewer pipe about 9 feet from the basement clean out. Pipe is plastic. I think I can access the pipe from out side by digging next to house it is about four feet down. I visually saw the break by sliding my aquaview (underwater fishing camera) down the pipe. How do I fix. Sewage backs up. More often than I would like.

Cool

If it's white plastic, it's PVC, and you will need PVC primer and glue.
If it's black plastic, it's ABS, and you will need glue only.
Dig it up, hacksaw out the break, clean up the ends, and put a piece (plastic type to match) in between two collars (couplings). It is probably 4".
Good Luck!
Mike
