Cool

I just bought a house that was built in the 40's. The water pressure is really bad. My neighbors have upgraded and I would like to know the best way to run a new line to my house from my meter?

My Two Cents Worth

Hello Defensiveaction and Welcome to the Do It Yourself Web Site.

Your question is an excellent one. All depends upon what you mean by upgraded.

There may not be an easy nor inexpensive solution to this type of problem.

The main waterline, from the meter to the house, may need to be replaced, unless it is already made of copper. If so, it's fine.

The problem may be within the house, if it has piping of any other material then copper. If so, a copper repiping is the only positive and permanate solution.

After a complete repiping with all copper pipes, you'll notice the difference and be satisfied. Long term solution, yes. Home improvement, definitely. Costly, without a doubt.
