I realize that there are vent elbows with sharp 90 degree bends made specifically for vent lines, but I was wondering... Can all types of PVC elbows (regular, long sweep, etc) be used on vent lines?

They must be DWV fittings.

Agree that they must be DWV fittings, so long sweeps, wyes, etc. would work fine. They are more expensive, so it's rare to see them, but no issue with them.

You can't use the Schedule 40 fittings which look like squared-off elbows. Those aren't allowed anywhere.
