I have a working well with a 1 horse motor.
This is new to me and don't know much about it.
Have had this for 30 years and has become my job now
Is it norm for the motor to be hot to the touch? Not to the point where it would burn your hand, but after it has been on for nearly 45 min to an hour seems pretty warm.
Use the well for irigation purposes. Don't know the volume
it kicks out, but adequate for watering a large yard and garden. Help and comments, please.......

Cool

Yes, it's normal for a pump motor to be quite warm to the touch after running for 45-minutes to an hour.
Don't worry about it, unless it starts overheating enough to kick off.
Good Luck!
Mike
