Is it still code compliance installing shutoff valve?
With the recent leaks in my basement bathroom, I was wondering if it's still code compliance if I install shutoff value to pipes that goes to different parts of the house in the basement?

Thank you for the response. I assumed if done properly, it shouldn't the efficiency of the flow/pressure, right?

Ball valves are usually full-port (or pretty close), so you don't have to worry at all about flow.
Gate or globe valves do constrict water flow, but as long as you have only a couple in the line, I woudn't worry much about it. (But ball valves are much more reliable and well worth it)
