reroute bathroom sink drain to shower drain
We have an old house - the sink drain is not flowing and to fix it will cost 3000 dollars to tunnel in and work (no crawl space).
Can we re route the drain to the shower / tub drain? Any tips or general instruction s are much appreciated!

My first step would be to auger or snake out the drain line.
There is no way to easily route a sink drain line into a shower drain line. All of that piping is underneath the slab and would require cutting open the floor to access and make the connection. At that point it would just be easier to clean, fix or replace the slow draining sink line.

Have you gotten another estimate? $3K could be really high, or could be a good price depending on what exactly needs to be done.
I assume you have already tried to snake the line and run a camera down the pipe to see what and where the issue is.
But overall I agree with Pilot Dane, if the line has to be replaced, you're stuck having to cut up the slab, which isn't that hard - but does require a lot of repair.
