Shower temperature

we have two shower and tub combinations. The temperature in the showers has been fluctuating for months. The bathtub temperature is fine. We have changed out the cartridges. We also got a brand new water heater. Nothing has fixed the problem. What else might be happening here?

What type of water heater do you have?

shower and tub combinations
What do you mean? Tub with a shower, and a diverter to fill the tub or use the shower head (like 95% of all tubs out there)? Or some other combination kind of setup?

Usually the diverter that switches between tub and shower doesn't affect the temperature setting at all. That's why I'm asking.

Bathtubs with showers, 2 bathrooms. Both have the temperature problem. Gas water heater was recently replaced when the old one quit, but that didn’t fix the temperature problem in the showers.

Once again... what type water heater do you have? Is it a tank or tankless?

And, just to confirm you had this temperature problem with the previous water heater as well?
