Utility Sink Connecting to Washer Waste Line
I am trying to connect a Utility Sink in the garage next to the washer. The washer drain line is at 18" high, the bottom of the trap is at 13". The bottom of the sink is at 19" high without the trap.
How can I easily tie in the utility sink drain into the existing plumbing? I do not want to drain the washer into the sink. Do I need to raise the sink a bit to create some height? Is there a spring valve I can use on the sink line to create backflow?
What is the minimum height I can place a T on the pipe on the wall?
Thanks,
Kyle

You'll need to cut out the existing washer trap and start your plumbing from the main drain in that room. Both the washer and tub will need their own trap. They also need a vent, you may be able to use an AAV depending on your locale.
You can always get a wall-mount sink or build a little platform for the sink if you need an extra few inches.
