Second floor washing machine drains to outside
Just bought a house in Las Vegas. Was doin laundry on Saturday and noticed that a window first floor had water hitting it like rain. Went and and all the water from the washing was shooting down a drain from second floor. Has anyone ever encountered this? I snaked it yesterday and it didn’t help. I put some drano down it and it goes right to the same drain and outide the house. Almost seems like it’s hooked up directly to this drain. Any help would b appreciated. Thanx!

Have not ever seen this. Would not be to any code I know of. Pictures would help to see where this drain is. Have seen washers drain to outside before but not just out from second floor.

You really haven't told us much except "...drain from second floor." If you tell us more or provide some pictures we can help.

Previous owners relocated laundry room and while doin so connected the drain from washer to overflow drain. Luckily, the sewer drain as well and the original washer drain, run right next to each other.
So the plumber has to open the ceiling and connect to proper drain.
