Angry

I continue to have septic smell in my yard, which is apparently coming from the vent stack. The system is operating fine, having had it pumped and inspected twice over last three years.

Guy from the septic company told me it's caused by down drafts. The stack only sits about 6" off the roof. Any ideas on how I could maybe construct some type of charcoal filter ? I really don't care to spend the $50 for a commercial one, since I figure parts actually cost much less.

Install an air admittance valve on top of the stack via a fernco.Admittance valve may be called studor vent,or magic vent.

Some call them auto-vents.
