[left]Hello i already have a shut off valve on gas pipe. The pipe and the valve itself is inside the wall, half exposed, vertically going downward. However the actual turn on/off knob of the valve itself is exposed outside of wall. [left]and I got a new stove - and the knob of the valve happens to be at the highest part of the stove and therefore I cannot push flush onto the wall. To fix this, I want to get the gas pipe to go further down for about 5 inches, and the back of stove has a space where it can take on this valve sticking out. Instead of ripping out lpart of wall, shutting down gas from main , I am thinking if I can just do these 2 step. 1) use a wrench to turn the value tighter by a half a turn so it’s completely inside wall. 2) get another shutoff valve to connect to the existing shutoff valve and use that as my main shutoff valve. The originally one willl simply be on all the time. is there any problem with this approach? thanks [/left][/left]

I have a brass -4" - with male and female screw fittings and in between there is a rectangular hole. Could be an aspirator or a siphon. But I have tried using it and it does not do anything. I placed two hoses on the ends and submerged the brass connector into a bucket of water. All that happened was more water came into the bucket from the water connection. Have attached photos Thanks for any information. Maybe it doesn't event belong to a water hose.
