Hi
I have a clogged bathtub drain.
It has been running slow for quite awhile now,
and I have tried differnt things to try and get it
fixed.
I have tried a snake, which won't let me get past the trap.
I have tried the water powered drain opener you use on the end of a garden hose in the over flow. That wouldn't let me
insert it very far to do any good.
So, last night I tried Drano. Now it is no longer draining slow, it's totally blocked up.
Can you give me any advise besides a plummer? It's Sunday!

Thank You,
Tx Rose

Traps are tricky to get around, if you can't get past it, then wait till tomarrow to call in a plumber.

I am really disappointed to have gotten the
pathetic reply I received.
What a waste of time that was.

txrose- remove the 2 screws holding the overflow cover plate on, remove plate. insert snake down into overflow, but turn snake backwards, counter-clockwise. this is how my buddy told me to do it.

Hummm..... My answer was for real, you will not get around the trap unless you know what your doing, a waste of time is what your in for, but don't take it from me, 18years is this field and it's all a waste of your time.

Good Luck

Well, that's why I posted the question
in the first place. To gain insight
as to what I was looking at in the pipes.
I figured I might get a little more than
"can the plumber"
Maybe a picture as to what was there,
as I cannot see through the pipe.
I haven't been doing it for 18 years.

It's a hair blockage beyond the trap, besides I was saying call on a weekday so it won't cost you an arm and a leg.

Are you blonde?

No, why are you?
I know it's a hair blockage, I was talking about
what the trap looked like inside the pipe.
You ever heard of a diagram?
I hope they don't pay you for your work here at
this site. If they do, boy are they getting screwed.

You are blonde, do yourself a favor, look under your kitchen sink, (oh wait, you don't know what a kitchen sink is), there is the thing that looks like a trap, well if you can see it, then that is what a trap looks like.

There no since in tring to explain to you what this looks like, just call a plumber.

My my, what a mature man you are.
If you had taken the time to answer the
question with as much enthusiasm as you
take in name calling, I would have had an
answer by now.
Just go away and quit writing to me.

Never called you a name, I answered your question you asked, but it was not the answer you was looking for, you mentioned you could not get beyond the trap, then later on you said you don't know what the trap looks like, well if you don't know what a trap looks like then how did you know you was not getting past it?

Your the one that got hot under the collar over my amswer.

You took my answer the wrong way, I did start the tone for the topic, you did.

You bet I will reply to each derogatory remarks you wish to make to me.

Oh by the way Have you got the drain cleared out yet, I bet not.
