Neeed some help on sewer drain
Hey Guys,
In my basement I have a 2" copper sewer line that takes the kitchen sink and washing machines. I want to add a utility sink with a pump to the 2" sewer line. I also want to change the route of the sink straight down the wall into the 2" line. The sink line is 1 1/2" pvc. The stack that goes straight up that is copper is a vent pipe. It dose not daylight. it's an old stack that is caped in the top of the header on the first floor. so it's got a good 9' of 1 1/2 of air space. Not to code today. The kitchen sink comes from the middle of the house that has it's own vent stack that goes out the roof.
Questions are
Can I connect the pump vent to the stack that does not vent out the roof? there is no way to get the sink one.
Getting a new 2" copper y fitting and a t fitting for the line is hard to fine. Should I just cut the copper and add those fitting in copper or replace that section of the line with 2" pvc? Not shore what fitting to use to connect pvc to copper. Is the right way a coupler line, like I did above?
thanks

You want to change the routing of the sink drain, but don't show that in your pictures.
Your terminology is confusing me. "Can I connect the pump vent to the stack that does not vent out the roof? there is no way to get the sink one."What is a pump vent? You did not previously mention anything about a pump. "Get the sink one"??? Get the sink one what?
There are rubber couplings (Fernco) and shielded couplings that can easily connect different types of pipe. Theyt just tighten up onto the pipe with a nut/screw driver.

Sorry about that, see below. The pump is not installed yep. In blue is what the pictures are showing, red is what I want to do.
Is it a good idea to use 4 rubber couplings? Or just replace that section of 2" copper line with pvc and have 2?
I did have another question on water lines. I need to tie into 1/2" copper lines. I was thinking of using press-fit fitting but you need that machine that is like $900. Do they make a hand tool that dose the same thing or dose it not work that good? I seem to have a fear of the sharkbite fittings. They maybe be fine, but I do not know.

For copper line just sweat on copper fittings. You can buy a torch & solder for less than $20.

Thanks guys,
I do have all the tools to sweating copper lines, I'm just not great at it, need to practices more.
got it on the drain and vent, good call on the backwater valve. I had a problem with the washing machine. Ended up having sink water on the floor due to the kitchen sink water coming down to fast and it backup the trap and on to the floor. Looks like a need two backwater valves.
