Do you need to be a licensed plumber in the state of massachusettes to do your own plumbing

In order to get a non generic reply back, more specific informational detail of the type of plumbing your intending to do would be helpful to anyone replying.

In general, YES! Especially for sewage lines or connecting to existing sewage lines. Definitely must meet all existing codes, at the very least. Same applies to gas lines. Water lines may apply in some areas.

Always best to ask and know prior to either starting the job and surely always best to know prior before completion. Could save you tons knowing before hand then having to redo the job...
