Review of Drain Design for Washer Relocation with Cheat Valve
Hello experts,
I'm taking on a DIY relocation of washer and dryer to another room. It's a finished room with drywall and an insulated wall. I don't have a good way to put in a vent so I'm looking to use an air admittance valve, aka cheater vent.
- Vent will be exposed, behind the washer/dryer stacked unit. (I'll use one of those box inserts to make it look better)
- I plan to make the height roughly the same as the drain line
Can someone review this design and see if there's any issues with it?
Thanks in advance!

I've always made the AAV higher than the standpipe. Though as far as I know, there's no code or installation requirement for it. If it ever backs up, I'd rather it not overflow in the wall.
Looks like a good plan!
