Partial blockage in kitchen outlet pipe
I'm hoping for some advice re the outlet pipe in the kitchen which is leaking from inside the wall.
If the sink drains into this pipe there is no problem. However, when the washing machine drains, the volume of water is too much and it starts to leak from within the wall, around the pipe. I imagine this means it's partially blocked somewhere. I have tried with a plumber's snake but meet a blockage about 18 inches in - am a bit too wary of trying to force it in case I get it stuck altogether.
I moved into this flat about 8 months ago and it was an occasional, slight problem then - a little bit of water every once in a while and it was initially difficult to work out where the water was coming from. Recently it's been every time and it pours from the wall, gallons of it.
At the moment I'm dealing with this by disconnecting the outlet when I run the washer and draining it into a bucket (actually a series of buckets) which I can then empty in the bathroom.
Given quarantine/lockdown I don't really want to get anyone in at the moment, but will do so if necessary.
Any advice gratefully received.

If it is leaking inside the wall then a pipe is broken or corroded through. It should be repaired as soon as possible as the leaking water will cause the house's framing to rot and can lead to mold & mildew.

Yes, I'm renting. He's been out to look a couple of times (way back) and each time it stubbornly refused to leak.
I'll get in touch with him but given the current situation might have to keep the temporary solution going for now.

Reason it leaks when washing machine used is the washer uses a lot of water and is drained fast. Next time he is out to check fill and drain washer a couple of times. Any blockage will show up than. If he refuses to fix call city and report this as mold will form in walls.
