No. 67 Auto-Vent leaking

I have one of these https://www.maidmist.com/automatic-air-valves/no-67/

I think it's similar to a radiator vent which you're supposed to open up once a year to let pressure out. I didn't notice it before so I haven't been doing that. It's leaking. Was I supposed to have been opening it up once a year? Does it need to be replaced, or is there something you do to get it to stop leaking? Assuming this product is no longer available, what do I replace it with?

My experience with these auto vent valves in years past is that they work very well and help keep the air out of a closed system, but they do develop leaks after a few years and need to be replaced. You do not have to manually open these valves, they work automatically.
