Cheap water pressure activated valve

I have a 3/4 inch PE pipe that siphons off a large pond, the surface of which is maybe 10 feet higher than the output end of the pipe.

I connected a garden hose to the end and put a sprinkler on it. The pressure is sufficient to operate the sprinkler. Now I want the sprinkler to spray only when the water pressure in the hose reaches a given point, stop when the pressure drops, and so on.

The application is to water a vegetable garden and be a scarecrow at the same time. I figure if the sprinkler only goes off intermittently it will both startle animals and keep the garden watered. It is the laziest solution I could think of to satisfy both needs, and because I am also cheap I would like to spend as little as possible on it.

Maybe a solar powered timer is a better solution?

Since there is no pump..... what will cause the pressure to go up and down ?
It sounds like a gravity feed system. If the pressure goes down it means the pipe is out of the water. How will the siphon restart ?

@PJmax The pressure seems to drop when water has been flowing for a few seconds, then builds back up when the hose is shut off for a few seconds. The intake is never out of the water.

Ok..... now I'm more confused. You want a valve that keeps closing/opening every few seconds ?

@PJmax yes, or as frequently as the pressure changes.

I found a 5psi pressure switch
https://www.amazon.com/Pressure-Swit.../dp/B0078RMKTM
So in theory, this connected to an electronic valve might do what you're looking for... maybe?

But it sounds like it would cycle on and off every few seconds. I can't imagine that's a good plan.

Instead, I would pick a hose timer. Has nothing to do with water pressure, but battery powered and can turn on and off a few times throughout the day.
Something like this (I just picked the first one in the list, no idea how good/bad it is)
