Question

A few days ago I notice a leak on my kitchen ceiling. My kitchen is below my upstair bathroom. We opened up the wall and noticed that the water was dripping from upstair. What we further noticed was that the water is flowing up the roof vent. Has anyone heard of this problem and what can I do to fix it? Thanks

Cool

Water flowing UP the roof vent? Not unless the drain below the vent stack is completely clogged (and it would be backing up into your fixtures).
Does it leak just when water is running in the bathroom? (Drain problem).
Or does it leak continuously? (Water line or fixture leak problem.)
You may need to open up a hole in the kitchen ceiling to determine exactly what is leaking where, in order to repair it.
Give us some more info, and we can help you try to correct it.
Good Luck!
