This morning I woke up in cold and noticed that also my gas water heater was not running. After manually starting water heater I noticed when attempting to start my Munchkin boiler that the water heater shut off as well and coincidentally my wife noticed that the flame cooking gas range went off. The boiler was running for 10+ years there is no change in piping or any gas appliance installation so I was wondering what could cause suddenly this situational where gas boiler call for flame and it shuts off all other appliances in the house? Gas range, gas dryer, and gar water heater runs fine/normally unless the Munchkin boiler receive a call for heat. Thanks

Hello! Looking for some input on if there are any minimum (Or maximum) distances between the pressure reducing valves and any shutoff valves. Im looking into finishing my basement. Currently I have a 1” pex line coming in right above the floor, goes through a 90 up the wall and transitions to 3/4” pex. My PRV is 2.5’ above the floor, main shutoff is 5’ above the floor, and a ‘T’ & valve (for outside sillcock) is 6.5’ above the floor. I would prefer to not have 3 access panels in the wall here. I was wondering if it’s possible to re-do this so that the PRV and the main shutoff are closer together? I’d also put another shutoff on the other side of the PRV for future maintenance, so you don’t have to go outside to the meter pit to do this. My last house had the meter, PRV, and shutoffs all inside with NPT threaded connections so virtually no distances between. Not used to them being so spaced out vertically on the wall like this. Just looking to see if that’s normal now, or if it could be condensed. Thanks!
