hot water pipe leak
It's a 3/4 galvanized pipe.about 3 wks ago i i put a red rubber gasket patch secured w/2 hose clamps leak stopped ,now a drip shows.It's a hot water line 3/4 feed to house..I've used bar clamps on other leaks.but with this one I don't have much room.thanks for any advice,LOC

I would but it's in the ceiling and so close to the cold pipe,it's a major job beyond my capabilities and funds.looking for a bar clamp that i can fit in there.thanks

Unfortunately, most galvanized pipe at this point is past its useful life. They tend to rust from the inside out, so, as Pete mentioned, this is probably the first leak of more to come.
There aren't a lot of options of pipe leak clamps, since they are considered a temporary repair.
You may be able to try a heavier piece of rubber and tighten one clamp directly over the leak. It may work, or may not, but might be worth a try.
Otherwise, if you share a pic or two, maybe we can help with a more permanent repair.
