Pex Tubing Memory

I am about to start a re-piping project in our house. I would prefer to use the pex in rolls rather than sticks of pex. How do I remove the memory in the rolls so that the runs will be straight?

You don't... you use hold down clamps to keep it straight. And the way you uncoil it by unrolling helps avoid kinks.

Temperature makes a big difference. Warm pipe is much easier to sorta straighten and is much easier to work with to the point that it's not really an issue. During winter a frozen coil of pipe can become a bit of a wrestling match at times.

I stretched out a 25 foot roll of 1/2" pex by sticking each end into something that would not allow it to recoil back. Left it for a couple of hours and it took a lot of the recoil out of it. Nothing perfect but it made it a little easier to work with.

Pex pipe will never be nice, neat and perfectly straight, that's just the nature of the product. As was mentioned, use hold down clamps to keep it straight as possible.
