I could solder it, but I dont know how to purge the line of water. I could even do a sharkbite (ive read that they are up to code for mains which I didnt know) but...how should I do this? I dont really know how to deal with the turn. I should (and probably will) call a plumber but I really didnt want to spend so much money. I know this is wrong. I bought the house like this and it has probably been this way for a decade before. It has worked fine, except now the upside-down p trap (or whatever it is) has cracked. I really don’t want to cut into the wall to get this correct, but I can’t find a replacement for the upside down p trap thingy ( and it’s not actually an upside down p trap). Any ideas? Thanks!
