Hot water TDS (total dissolved solids) double that of cold water taps
Hi everyone,
I was checking the TDS of my water and it looks like my cold water taps all over the house have TDS around 110 ppm but the hot water taps are 220 ppm. Is that normal? If it's all the hot water taps, I'm assuming the source is early on in the pipes or the hot water heater (which was replaced last year). Any ideas no what could be happening on what could be a fix?
Thanks!

TDS increases with temp so the standard is to check the cold water.
100 is pretty low but TDS is a generic value it doesnt tell you what makes up that value so you need to get a water test to see the specifics.
