need help identifying water shut off valves

Hi, Could you please help me identify the water shut off valves in this photo? The valves marked "1/2" and have another marking I don't understand (WB? VV3? VB? 8M?) Do you know who makes them? The valves are probably mid-80s.

I need to rebuild a valve like this that has stripped core threads and damaged packing nut. I need either identical valve or core parts.

Thanks.

If you need to repair or re-work them, then just remove them and put in ball valves. You might even consider SharkBite valves.

I don't recognize the letters. I would not count on finding any parts for those valves other than washers.
You would need to unscrew the inside assembly and take it with you.
It would need to be tried in another valve to see if it fits.
Parts are not universal and many have different thread pitches.

I think I found it. Looks like it’s a Wolverine valve. This in one of the images for the valve shown on this link:

Well it's not identical is it. But it's 1/2 and the right brand anyway.

Doesn't look like ebay has 1/2 maybe 3/4. Looks like those are possibly older than the 80's.

Wolverine Brass offers two similar but not the same valves.
Valves rarely stay the same year to year.
1/2" gate valve
1/2" gate valve

I would have to agree, ball valves for water lines are a much better option, rather than rebuild just replace. If it's tight just get a valve with union makes for simple replacement in a tight spot!

Thanks! It is very tight to replace. The pipe is very close to the bottom of the kitchen sink cabinet. I would need to swap this valve with the same valve at another location and then replace.
Here is another similar valve I found, same main nut style, but it is 3/4'' NEW WOLVERINE 3/4" SHUT-OFF STOP & DRAIN VALVE | eBay

FWIW...this is an ideal situation to allot a time period to be able to turn off water supply to the whole house and don't swap out anything. REPLACE and make life easy and correct for yourself. Send a picture of the valve locations and maybe we can advise how to replace with minimal work.

The parts from a 3/4" valve won't fit a 1/2" valve.
