Symmons Shower Valve - Help Identifying Part?

I replaced an old Temptrol shower valve. When attempting to install the new trim, I noticed I’m missing the seat (?) into which I would screw the trim plate. Can anyone tell me what this part is called and where I can find it? I tried Home Depot, searched online, etc. it’s the original valve but I did replace the stem. Thanks!

Those two valves don't look the same. Those two parts on the new valve are service ports.
Service port valves.... to turn off the hot and cold water for local servicing.

I didn't think the escutcheon attached via screws into the service ports but I see they are tapped for screws.

Did you look on the back side of the old trim? It might have stayed on the screw.

Thought Id bump this to see if any other thoughts. I emailed Symmons and they sent the wrong part.

This is really what I’m looking for although smaller (1/4” male to 1/8” female).

Anything available in non Symmons? Seems it just needs to be able to reduce the size of the hole in the valve to accommodate the plate screw.

Thoughts?

Nothing comes to mind. It's pretty bad when the manufacturer can't help.

Unhappy

Hi all- A quick update on the below. I emailed Symmons again and I got this back:

“Thank you so much for the picture of the valve, and that is definitely a Temptrol valve, therefore I ordered you model # T-52, it's a stop spindle assembly,”

So they sent me this although it’s definitely not the exact part so maybe they updated this particular part? The screws are the same though. It’s the insert that’s different.

so I removed the screws (parts on right) but I can’t remove the original spindle. Definitely looks like it should unscrew:

I tried the Symmons t-32 universal seat removal tool as well as a needle nose pliers with no luck (maybe a non Symmons tool?).

Funny.. this is the last task the is preventing me from competing an entire bathroom remodel.

Thoughts?
