Sharkbite valve spinning

Sharkbite valve spinning
Noticed that a valve near the main line is spinning.
It has been there since we bought the house (7 years back) , but I do not recall if it was spinning earlier
Is this normal for shark bite fittings to spin ?
After two back to back basement flood ( drain block and water heater burst) I am being extra cautious

Hi krishmunn-
They are made so they can be turned. I’ve had one installed now for a long time but never needed to turn it. But it is a positive feature. Here is a statement from the ShartkBite web site about their Brass Push Ball Valves – so you are in OK shape:

Innovative push-to-connect design makes for quick and easy installations, and allows you to join to PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT and SDR-9 HDPE pipe in any combination without a need for soldering, clamps, glue or unions. The valve can be rotated after installation making it easier to reach the shut-off. Ideal for working in tight spaces. Faster install time and ease of use reduces installation errors.
