What is that fitting used for ?
Since it has a beveled flange.... it appears to be a union and requires the correct matching half.
Could also be a compression fitting.
The fitting in your picture looks like 1.
Where's the rest of the fitting ?
Ok, so a flared compression fitting. What do I need to match it other than a female of the correct size that it screws into? Can't get it to quit leaking.
Hi all. I helped a friend install a 3 bay sink in their basement. It’s below grade so I got one of those bucket pumps.
move attached a sketch.
prior to work the main 2 bay kitchen sink drained fine. Now I’m told it’s draining slowly.
the bucket pump said to vent it so I tried one of those cheater valves and when I use it the new basement sink drains slowly. If I just take it off it drains fine. I’m wondering if it’s an issue with the Valve and or the p trap between the pump and sink.
either way I want to figure out why it works with the valve off but not installed and also why my putting a t into the drain line from the main floor sink would cause it to slow down.
thanks
