Hello, I have a noise like a gurgeling water draining noise that comes out of my bathtub drain whenever we are running the washer. This is probably something simple yet i dont know anything about plumbing. Thanks Keith

All fixtures, including tubs and washing machine standpipes, have traps to hold water that prevent sewer gas from entering the home.
Whenever water runs through the drain lines, if there is a partial blockage of the line or the vent pipe (roof), it can cause a gurgling sound.
The trap water can be siphoned out of a trap, if it is a clog in the vent pipe (if it drains it enough, you can smell sewer gas). The water can gurgle if there is a clog in the drain pipes.
You need to snake the drainline through the cleanouts. Plumber's snakes can be rented.
Look in the "Build/Remodel" Plumbing section above for a drain/waste/vent pipe setup, and in "Repair/Fix-It" for illustrated how-to clear a drain line. That should help you.
Good Luck!
