Polyethylene gas line size

Hello all! Love this site. First time posting. I am going to be installing a magic pak unit and also a hot dawg heater. 60K BTU Hot dawg for the garage and 30K BTU for the magic pak that will heat the porch on other side of the wall. The Gas line I will be burying from the other side of the house and will run approx 170 feet to the garage. Can I get by with 3/4 inch polyethylene or would I need 1 inch?

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forums.

Underground yellow IPS poly would be a good choice.
Poly gas line is rated to be used as buried only. Be sure to get pipe risers for each end.

You need 60k + 30k = 90k delivery

Changed reply to reflect natural gas over LPG.
Natural gas is much lower pressure which requires a larger pipe size. 3.5 wc vs 11 wc
5' of pipe gets added on for each additional fitting like a 90.

The chart is showing that 1" will be borderline.

Using Natural gas

Thank you so much for your quick reply. I forgot to mention we are using natural gas. Would that make a difference in comparison to liquid propane?

Sorry. Don't know where I got LPG from. Modified my original post.
